Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.
Key information about our church:
When and where does the church meet?
Our church meets every Sunday at 9.00am, 11.00am and 6.30pm for our Sunday Services. We suggest you aim to arrive about 5-10 minutes early to ensure you get a parking spot and a seat in time for the service to start.
The Church of Christ the King
We meet at:
Northants NN15 7AA
What should I expect when I visit the church?
You will receive a very warm welcome, particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. The services are about 75-90 minutes long, with opportunity for prayer, worship, and a sermon/talk generally based on a passage from the Bible. Different parts of the service are led by one of our leaders or a church member, often with a chance to respond at the end of the service.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.
What do children and young people do during the services?
Most Sundays, apart from the second Sunday each month which is our All Age Service, we run an exciting programme of groups for the children and young people that join us at CtK each week. Click the group below to find out more:
Little Seeds Creche: 6 months to 3 years. Children under 6 months are welcome but must be accompanied by their parent/carer at all times.
Children's Roots 1: Pre School & Reception
Children's Roots 2: School Years 1, 2 & 3
Radicle Roots: School Years 4, 5 & 6
Deeper Roots: School Year 7+
Children stay with their parents at the beginning of the service as we worship together. When it is time for their activities to begin the service leader will announce and pray for them before they go to their groups. The first time they attend please go with your child(ren) to complete a registration form and help settle them into their group.
For more information about what happens in the children's and youth work please visit the relevant age groups for you under Our Community here on our website.
Is there a dress code?
None at all. Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes. Whilst our clergy wear clerical collars they don't wear formal robes or suits and all our teams should have something to identify them, usually a name badge.
Will I have to join in?
Please feel free to join in with all that happens in our services as you feel able to; you could simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you. When you feel ready to Get Involved more there are lots of opportunities to get to know people and serve on one of the Teams that supports our community.
We have more information for you specifically if you…
